    AND ADVANCED CLINICAL PRACTICA IN
    VOCATIONAL AND NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKSHOP
    Basic and advanced clinical practica are offered in Irving, Texas at the offices 
    of Jack G. Dial, Ph.D. These programs include extensive clinical experience 
    in vocational and neuropsychological assessment of individuals with visual 
    impairment, brain injury and/or learning disabilities over a five or seven day period. 
    Participants in the program receive individual instruction and case consultation 
    for each referral seen during their training and may work at their own pace 
    to develop assessment, interpretation and report writing skills. No more than 
    three participants are included in the program at one time. Certification 
    in the use of the McCarron-Dial System (MDS) 
    or the Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation System (CVES) may be 
    obtained through participating in the five day program (seven days are required 
    for certification in both systems).
    
  
PROFESSIONAL SUPERVISOR: JACK G. DIAL, Ph.D.
The program is supervised 
    by Dr. Jack G. Dial, co-author of the McCarron-Dial System (MDS) and principle 
    author of the Perceptual-Motor Assessment for Children and the Comprehensive 
    Vocational Evaluation System (CVES) for visually impaired and blind. Dr. Dial 
    is an adjunct professor of Psychology at the University of North Texas; the 
    Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, and  West Virginia 
    University in Morgantown. In addition, Dr. Dial maintains a private practice in neuropsychology. He has published many articles and book chapters related to vocational and 
    neuropsychological assessment of children and adults with disabilities and offers special 
    seminars on these topics nationally.
    
  
PARTICIPANTS
This program focuses on 
    content and skill development that is of primary interest to psychologists, 
    vocational evaluators, rehabilitation specialists and diagnosticians. Graduate 
    students in the above disciplines will benefit from this program.
